January 10, 2003 LSR ANNOUNCES BOARD APPOINTMENTS Princeton,
New Jersey, January 10, 2003 – Life Sciences Research, Inc. ("LSR")
(OTCBB: LSRI) announced today the appointment of two new members to its
Board of Directors. Mr. Y. Sesay, an international businessman with an
interest in the development of pharmaceutical products, and Mr. M. Faruque,
Chairman of the Ghulam Faruque Group, have been elected to the Board,
effective immediately.
Messrs. Sesay and Faruque will fill the Board seats made available
by the retirements from the Board of Dr. John Caldwell and Mr. Kirby
Cramer. Andrew
Baker, LSR’s Chairman, said “ Dr. Caldwell and Mr. Cramer have been
long-standing friends of our Company, John having served as a director
since 1996 and Kirby since 1998. We have greatly benefited from their
advice and counsel and extend our thanks for their support during this
important stage in the Company’s development”. “As
we begin our first full year as a US public company, we look forward to
the able assistance of Messrs. Sesay and Faruque in LSR’s continuing
progress.
The strategic changes our Board has overseen have made us a
stronger Company and positioned us to move forward into this next stage in
our development.
